July 19, 2017: My flash-fiction story, “Storytime Sam,” appears on Flash Fiction Magazine. So exciting, since I started this story years ago, as a kin of “dress rehearsal” for my novel.
April 20, 2017: My article “A Baby Boomer Thanks a Heartthrob” appears on BoomerCafe.com.
Fall, 2016: My article “What is it About Teen Idols?” appears in Brain,Teen Magazine. It’s a research article the explores one of themes from my novel, THE LAST DREAMER.
December, 2015: My novel, THE LAST DREAMER (Lake Union Publishing), makes its debut. Kirkus Reviews writes, “In this engaging debut novel, Josselsohn delves into the anxieties and insecurities of modern womanhood as well as the whims of a celebrity-obsessed culture.”
August, 2015: Very excited to see my essay, “The Summer of Rachel” on the Brain, Child Magazine website — one of my very favorite parenting publications!
April, 2015: My novel, The Last Dreamer, is accepted for publication by Lake Union Publishing. Release is set for this fall. Details to follow!
February, 2015: My review of Isaac Bashevis Singer’s provocative novel Shosha appears the Fig Tree Books blog — a great source of information about the American Jewish Experience.
January 30, 2015: My monthly column, “Life Questions,” debuts in the Scarsdale Inquirer, a piece about (1) my mother, (2) Taylor Swift, and (3) the power of reinvention. It’s entitled “Self-Reinvention One Step at a Time.”
Winter, 2015: My ode to slow cookers, “Want to Save Time and Money in the Kitchen? One word: Cookers,” appears in Westchester Home Magazine. It is my last “Solutions” column, as the magazine is undergoing a redesign. Can’t wait to see the changes in the next issue!
Sept. 26th, 2014: My humor piece, “In Defense of Helicopter Parents” — a look at where helicopter parents went overboard and what they got right — appears in The Journal News (Westchester, NY) and online at loud.com. Fall, 2014: “Your Best Bets on Beautiful Bedding,” my overview of the best in warm, comfy linens to keep you cozy as the cold weather approaches, appears in Westchester Home Magazine. It is the latest in my “Solutions” series, which runs regularly in this this quarterly magazine.
Aug. 1st, 2014: My short story, “The Stranger at the Passover Table,” appears in the anthology New Mitzvah Stories for the Whole Family (Reclaiming Judaism Press). You can get information about this collection and order a copy from the publisher or on Amazon.com.
Summer 2014: “Dorm Shopping Tips For The College-Bound (And Their Parents),” my essay on the trials and tribulations of furnishing that first dorm room, appears in Westchester Home Magazine. Also in this issue is my article “Keeping Your Home Safe During Your Summer Vacation,” which discusses the latest in home-security gadgets and gizmos.
June 25th, 2014: My essay on the emotional hours leading up to my daughter’s graduation from high school, “Twelve Hours and Counting: Diary of a Dreaded Graduation,” appears on the website GrowandFlown.com.
May 2014: My Westchester Magazine travel piece, “Menla Center for Health and Happiness,” describes this spectacular, Tibetan-inspired wellness retreat in the Catskills (founded, incidentally, by the scholar Robert Thurman, otherwise known as Uma’s dad).
